Swift Current & District Chamber of Commerce introduces new CEO
The Swift Current & District Chamber of Commerce welcomes newly appointed CEO Corla Rokochy.
The Swift Current & District Chamber of Commerce has selected its new CEO, Corla Rokochy. A long time resident of Swift Current, Rokochy is considered a passionate advocate for community development and an experienced leader with a background in business management, program development, and community engagement.
Rokochy is slated to replace outgoing CEO Karla Wiens, who is retiring after 7 years with the organization in early 2025. To ensure a smooth transition, Wiens will remain with the organization into the first quarter of 2025.
“We are very excited to welcome Corla to our highly-respected team in both the Swift Current & District business community as well as the chamber network across Saskatchewan and Canada,” said Warren Hope, Chair of the Chamber’s Board of Directors. “Corla brings extensive experience and a track record of success in engaging and leading teams founded on her extensive qualifications.”
“My long-standing involvement in the Swift Current community through entrepreneurship and volunteer work has deepened my connections within the local business and cultural landscape. I understand the importance of fostering relationships with businesses, non-profits, and government entities to create a unified and thriving business community. I am eager to apply my leadership experience, strategic mindset, ability to find innovative solutions, and passion for supporting business growth to the Chamber as the new CEO.” said Rokochy.
The Board of Directors’ commitment to finding a qualified and experienced candidate who can build on the Chamber’s past achievements and lead the organization into the future has been prolific, and the Board and Staff of the Chamber look forward to working with Rokochy in the new year.
The Swift Current & District Chamber of Commerce is a member-driven organization that represents the interests of over 400 businesses in the region. The Chamber’s mission is to foster a positive business environment by providing leadership, advocacy, and services to its members and the community.
